Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

- Ensure all requirements relating to HSE and Security are met.
- Act as the Construction Supervision Consultants representative regarding all matters related to site supervision and management for the Project.
- Carrying out duties of The Engineers Representative as described in Professional Services Agreement and letter of delegation of authority
- Provide leadership to the project team and the project as a whole.
- Implementation of the Quality Management System (QMS) to ISO 9001:2008
- Ensure to follow the EGIS Project Procedure Manual
- Supervise the Contractors quality control procedures and implement the quality assurance procedures in accordance with the International Standards
- Schedule and attend required weekly progress meeting, site construction meetings and site visits with the Contractor and the Client.
- Advising on contractual and construction matters
- Approve Contractors valuations and follow up to prepare recommendations for payments
- Approve and analyze the Contractors Claims and prepare recommendations report.
- Respond with appropriate and necessary levels of action and supervision to meet quality expectations of the work in accordance with contract documents.
- Advise the Client of any site conditions or other circumstances affecting the work
- Assist in negotiations with Contractors regarding contract changes.
- Review and follow up to prepare the variation orders and recommendations for the Client.
- Review the contract documents for correctness and areas of uncertainty
- Approve site instructions as necessary
- Reviewing, and monitoring and reporting on progress.
- Coordination of forward planning
- Monitor the staff members work for conformance with Project Procedures
- Coordinate permitting, local authorities, approval and handover as needed to assist in smooth progress and completion of the work
- Assist Client/PMC in taking over of the works
- Technical leadership
- Liaison with Client and PMC
- Coordinate with the Contractor and the Client.
- Coordinate construction works and reporting to the Client.
- Participate in design clarifications.
- Respond with appropriate and necessary levels of action and supervision to meet quality expectations of the work in accordance with contract documents.

Requirements

Shall be qualified with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from an internationally recognized accredited University plus minimum ten years Chartered Engineer or Professional Engineer (PE) registration or other similar professional organizations accepted by the Authority.

Minimum of 20 years post graduate experience in design, site supervision, and construction management of major highway projects of complex in nature.
