Senior Risk Management Analyst

Job description / Role

Your job will include, but not limited to the following:

* The purpose of risk management is to safeguard ADNOC Distribution's reputation, ensure reliable and uninterrupted supply of quality products and services to all the customers, all the time, protect assets and the interests of stakeholders by proactively identifying and managing all threats and risks of the company.
* Understand nuances of all the business lines of the company, their strategies, objectives, issues and environment in which they operate.
* Responsible for identifying proactively risks and reporting to the risk owners.
* Maintain good internal control to track the risk factors of each business lines.
* Provide advice and support to all the divisions to manage their  risk in order to achieve their business objectives.
* Co-ordinate half yearly exercise to validate the risk register and risk profile with risk owners.
* Prepare and Provide half yearly updates to the Steering Committee and Audit Committee on the risk profile, risk register and the risk management programs.This will include reports on changes in risk profile, controls established, status of previous action plans etc.
* Monitor the execution of risk management strategies and policies at company level.
* Recommend actions for improvement regarding outstanding actions plans to mitigate control 'gap'.
* Ensures risk management activities are embedded into all the business processes.
* Suggest improvements to risk management techniques to Chief Risk Officer.
* Advise business divisions / department / support functions on risk initiatives and integration of the same with the Balanced Score Cards of every division.

Requirements

* An MBA or Master of Business Economics/ Mathematics is a must and an additional qualification in Risk Management is desirable.
* Very strong and proven high level analytical and mathematical skills essential.
* 8 to 10 years of experience in Risk Management,preferably in retail industry/ logistics.
* Command on mathematical calculations on Excel.Ability to use Oracle, SAS, SPSS etc an added advantage.
* Good Presentation skills.Change management and facilitation skills.
* Excellent interpersonal skills, team work and ability to influence change.
