Job description / Role
Senior Rotating Equipment Engineer
Our client is one of the major international Oil and Gas Company with a track record spanning more than 40 years. They are currently looking for Senior Rotating Equipment Engineer to provide Engineering support to in accordance with approved procedures and guidelines, design limitations, technical standards and legislative requirements
Job Purpose
* Contribute to the development and execution of safe work processes, operating procedures and guidelines to ensure process safety, operational safety and plant integrity
* Working in a multi-discipline team to contribute to the overall objectives of the Operations Engineering Support team by providing ad-hoc engineering support to Operations Department.
* Carry out review and trend analysis of operating vs design conditions on rotating equipment packages and their auxiliary systems.
* Rotating equipment reliability and optimization
* Take responsibility for investigating root cause and close out any mechanical engineering and rotating machinery related actions that arise from unplanned shutdowns.
Requirements
Key Requirements:
* BEng, BSc, MEng or MSc. In Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or other relevant degree qualification
* Minimum 10 years of experience in the Oil and gas upstream processing facilities:
Brownfield (Operations Support)
Greenfield (Detailed design)
* Offshore environment
* Have a proven and detailed knowledge and understanding of:
- Oil & Gas rotating equipment and associated auxiliary system design in offshore applications
- Oil & Gas process safety
- International Industry Standards applicable to rotating machinery
- Thorough working knowledge of design procedures, use of standards and regulations for machinery/equipment under area of responsibility used on offshore platforms
