We have a five year framework agreement for a major infrastructure project in Doha, Qatar and we are looking for a Senior Safety Engineer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
* Review and assess safety provisions in the contractors Work Method Statements
* Carry-out, record, document and issue daily, weekly & monthly site safety inspections and reports
* Carry out H&S inductions and presentations
* Prepare all accident and near miss safety reports
* Review 'Permit to Work' applications
* Check proper maintenance and operation of all safety equipment
* Review, assess and report on site security, fire, First Aid and welfare facilities, and procedures appropriate to the Works are provided and properly maintained.
* Prepare and issue Safety Violation Notices
* Carry out accident and near miss investigations
* Assist and participate in construction related site safety training
* Set a high personal example of Health and Safety at all times.
Requirements
Qualifications:
* Ideally candidates will have over 14 years post graduate experience with a minimum of 5 years in a similar role.
* Successful completion of a relevant Diploma/Certificate in appropriate Civil Engineering discipline from a recognized Tertiary Institution.
* Postgraduate qualifications from IOSH, NEBOSH or AHSE will be highly regarded.
* Preferably with experience in Middle East
