The Role


The Role


• Supporting the development and implementation of the RSAF’s Safety Management Systems on behalf of the Engineering Manager Safety and Director of Safety.
• Support the Management of the interfaces between other functions and/or capabilities and the Safety organisation.
• Provide support in development of Safety Management within the RSAF in line with Systems policy and best practice.
• Support and assist the RSAF in establishing and implementing systems, processes and procedures that monitor the efficiency of their Safety Management System. Investigate safety related issues and develop recommendations for implementation.
• When required Support Economic Offset Companies in developing their SMS in support of their responsibilities to the RSAF.
• As requested perform incident/fault investigation and where appropriate establish, recommend and support the implementation of corrective actions.
• Assist in the Establishment, support and maintain the Director of Safety’s Meeting Schedule.
• Maintain Safety Team’s Action Tracking system to ensure all Team Tasking is controlled.
• Establish and maintain Customer satisfaction monitoring system to ensure customer requirements are satisfied.
• As appropriate provide SME in support of RSAF Project meetings.

Requirements


Requirements


1. Minimum of 10 years of experience within Aircraft maintenance, operations and Safety programmed maintenance with proven senior supervisory responsibilities.
2. Knowledge of Aircraft maintenance and operations at a senior management role including reliability management and data analysis.
3. Exposure to and of Safety regulations and processes.
4. Knowledge of civil (EASA) and military Continuing Airworthiness requirements and regulations, Part M and 145.
5. Project management experience.
6. Understanding of Aircraft maintenance and materials management
7. Understanding of Design and Production organisation requirements and regulations
8. High levels of interpersonal skill with the ability to co-ordinate a large number of diverse activities and the ability to communicate, influence and direct the decision making process at all levels.
