To deliver superior customer service through identifying customer needs, offering advice, demonstrating suitable products, building a relationship of trust with the customer and ensuring all standards are maintained as per policy in order to achieve sales targets and cultivate customer loyalty whilst upholding the image of the Brand. Coach and mentor new joiners to achieve the same.

FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

* Understand monthly target and formulate a personal strategy to achieve own stretch target. Ensure all other Sales Consultants understand their targets, and help them with their strategy in order for whole team to achieve.
* Welcome all customers in a warm and friendly manner, ascertain customer needs and confidentially recommend and demonstrate suitable products accordingly. Discuss all the positive elements of each product and where possible, promote link selling with an overall view to meet the customer's needs and maximise upon the sales opportunity. Coach new joiners on this element of the process and ensure each customer receives the same excellent standard of service.
* Ensure all products are displayed according to brand standards, the product and area of responsibility is clean, tidy and if available, replenished upon sale. Have the scope to look beyond own specific areas of responsibility and resolve and issues noted
* Ensure the customer's payment is processed in line with Company policy. Coach new joiners on this element of the process and ensure each customer receives the same excellent standard of service.
* Where applicable, ensure the customer is fully informed of delivery schedules and the product reaches the customer in perfect condition.
* Maintain regular contact with customers, informing them of any necessary or required information that would of interest to them or related to products recently purchased.
* Handle any customer complaints and support new Sales Consultants ensuring the customer is managed in an attentive, professional, friendly and supportive manner with a view to limit the requirement to escalate to Management. In the case of serious Customer Complaints, escalate the matter to Management, informing the customer of your actions and the Manager the nature of the complaint.
* Maintain a customer database, making continuous improvements and capturing all relevant information that will enable accurate marketing of new lines to market. Capture any leads from current customers and contact new customers accordingly
* Inform regular customers on special offers, promotions, events or new lines to market. Build excellent relationships with customers and maintain their loyalty to our business and brands.
* Utilise and maximise upon the Amber scheme, training new Sales Consultants of the same.
* Be the designated buddy for new Sales Consultants entering either the business, division or brand.
* Check stock levels daily, orders made and expected delivery manifests to maintain full stock availability. Inform management of any potential stock shortages
* Become an expert on product knowledge, market trends and competitor analysis in order to speak confidently to each customer about the market vs. your brand offering.
* Maintain excellent personal grooming as per the brand standards to represent the business in a positive, professional and prestigious manner.
* Complete and submit reports as per management requirement
* Comply with all company policies and procedures.
* To provide a high level of customer service at all times both internal and external, by being aware of the product categories and being able to assist and advise customers in a professional manner.
* To assist the Store Manager with the day to day Store Operations including opening and closing and Duty Management cover and other security aspects. To run the Dept in the absence of the Dept Manger if required.
* To be able to train new staff on the Point of Sale (POS) operation and to be responsible for corrective action at the POS. To deal with any customer issues arriving at the POS to ensure smooth customer service is uninterrupted.
* To supervise the receiving and display of goods in accordance with the approved procedures when required to ensure products are available for customer purchase.
* To assist with ensuring the compliance with in store procedure with regard to pricing and ticketing to ensure that customers are aware of product prices and to protect the company against any loss related to incorrect pricing.
* To assist with the training and ensure that Sales Assistants apply the Brand Merchandising Principles at all times ensuring a corporate imagine is achieved and that the brand has the best possible looking stores in its product category.
* When required to assist in other events such as stock take, new store openings etc.

The job of a Senior Sales Assistant can often be challenging due to the nature of product and the extensive product knowledge required in most categories. Many categories require specialist knowledge. The person who is employed must be prepared not only for the physical aspects of the job but also be able to, often on their own initiative, to learn the extensive product knowledge of the various departments so ensure that customers are given accurate advice and information. The Senior Sales Assistant must have the ability to manage the stores in the Store Supervisors absences dealing with customer, staffing and stock issues effectively.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge
Secondary School

Minimum Experience
At least 2 years in a retail environment, with extensive customer facing experience.
Knowledge of English essential. Other languages including Arabic, Russian and Chinese preferable.
