Employment: Full Time

Saint-Gobain High Performance Refractories is part of Saint-Gobain Ceramics Materials, a technical leader refractories and Engineered Ceramics.

Our constant aim is to develop refractory and engineered ceramics products and technologies to service metallurgical industries (like foundry, aluminium, etc), ceramic producers (like potteries), ceramics used in armor protection, furnace linings for energy and petrochemical, water filtration through innovative ceramic components, etc. As description explains, our products find diversified use across sectors, and are not limited by above description.

Job Goals:
The incumbent is expected to grow sales in new markets and new applications based on manufacturing capabilities available in our global sites. They must assure sales/market share results and profitability at targeted new accounts. He/she determines market and product needs, monitors and evaluates competitor activity, and then ensures and initiates the development and growth of new products and markets in different market segments and countries of Middle East and then Africa. He will co-ordinate his strategies and actions with global teams, plants and derive co-operation and support to develop markets in MENA region.

Responsibilities:
1. To develop sales for refractory products and engineered ceramics in markets described above, but not limited to those.
2. Develop priorities, evolve action plan through market study and analysis in different segments and countries in Middle East and implement strategies and plans to develop sales for World Wide plants and products of High Performance Refractories division
3. Network and co-ordinate internally with world wide organization to leverage advantages of global network of plants, product range and expertise to offer solutions adapted to local needs.
4. Secure competitive information and competitively benchmark our position versus competition on both existing products as well as new products. Conduct market research that results in identification of new opportunities.
5. Prepare segmentation of the market to provide perspective on market size, our strategies, and approach to the market.
6. Establish necessary promotional needs including but not limited to participation in trade shows and exhibitions and trade journal advertisements.
7. Support and develop distributor and agents network in different segments of markets in different countries

Requirements

Skills equivalent to a Bachelor of Science or Engineering degree and 5-10 years of relevant experience.

The incumbent must also have three to five years experience in Sales and/or Market Management in technical sales for industrial applications, and flair for selling through value and solution selling approach. Having managed sales teams is added advantage. The incumbent must be able to communicate effectively on a broad range of disciplines, with a wide range of personnel, from shop floor to technical consultants, in order to develop viable approaches to the various applications. The incumbent must be proficient in English, knowledge of Arabic language is a plus. Knowledge of local markets and business culture is a strong plus.
