Senior Site Architect - Riyadh

We are currently searching for a Senior Site Architect to join our Atturaif Museology Supervision Project for the Prince Salman Science Oasis Project Museum Fit Out Works.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain close daily coordination with the Arriyadh Development Authority, Buro Happold and other Site Team members.
- Maintain overview of Exhibition Contractors Time Schedule and review at regular intervals to report challenges, concerns, unplanned delay etc.
- Review and comment on contractors development drawings and shop drawings
- Attend Client / Consultant meetings
- Attend Site Progress meetings
- Provide briefings to Exhibition Contractors as required
- Answer contractors queries Request for Information forms
- Generally lead the technical aspects of the project and co-ordinate works with museology, mechanical, and electrical engineers.
- Generally inspect materials delivered to the site. Be willing and available to travel overseas on occasion to inspect contractors mock up samples/ prototypes.
- Review samples of proposed materials and equipment as necessary.
- Review the architectural as-built drawings and maintenance manuals prepared by the contractor
- Issue draft contractor instructions for BH/ ADA formal instruction
- Review all contractors submitted fabrication information and report accordingly.
- Review contractors proposed materials & finishes for approval
- Oversee media reviews (scripts, storyboards)
- Oversee object selection review
- Review display case layouts
- AV hardware integration and review
- Oversee schedule implications of co-ordination of final text for graphics production
- Carry out off-site inspections of materials, finishes, media tests, prototypes etc. as required
- Review Contractors change and cost information
- Inspect all works in progress and when offered for inspection by the Contractor
- Produce inspection and snagging reports
- Oversee exhibition lighting focusing & commissioning
- Review contractors O&M manuals

Requirements

- Degree qualified Architect
- 10 15+ years experience
- Degree qualified in relevant subject Architectural Degree from a recognised university.
- Current Middle East project experience
- Site Supervision experience

Desirable skills
- Ideally from a high end design background with previous Museum or High End Retail fit out experience
- Demonstrable experience of working in Saudi Arabia
- Team player with previous site supervision experience. Must be hands on, flexible and willing to assist in all aspects of the project to ensure it is completed on time
