Senior Solution Architect - Proposal Engineer

Job description / Role

The Senior Solution Architect - Proposal Engineer will coordinate and produce the proposal response under the lead of the proposal manager with the relevant service / product / business knowledge required to win.

Responsibilities include introduction and implementation of all necessary proposal procedures and processes, technical architecture of the solution and the coordination with the different 3rd party integration vendors as well as software and hardware vendors required for the solution stack. Requires the ability to work under pressure with demanding deadlines.

Accountabilities:
- Being responsible for the solution proposal delivery of a bid on schedule
- Architecting solution using appropriate technology by keeping functional and non-functional requirements as well as the technology constraints in consideration
- Playing key role in architectural and/or Design and/or solution reviews, especially in outsourced engagements.
- Presenting the Solution to internal and external stakeholders, through presentations and documents.
- Responsible for delivering the Architecture & Design materials
- Analyzing and evaluating client's requirements (from RFP/RFI) and architecting/designing those requirements into a competitive solution
- Providing cost elements and resource estimations as well as solution options/approaches for different requirements.
- Participates in proposal teams.
- Demonstrate deep understanding of Client-server, distributed and service oriented architectures.
- Demonstrate deep understanding of Portal, Middleware, BI and ETL solutions, CMS, DMS, Business Rules Engine, Identity Management, Microsoft Stack and EDW.
- Demonstrate strong understanding of packaged solutions such as ERPs such as SAP and Oracle.
- Ability to perform market research and evaluation in order to select the proper technology and solution for the proposals.
- Strong presentation and documentation skills.

Requirements

- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Science
- 10+ years' experience in Solution Architecture, Design & Delivery of big scale programs, 3+ years experience in pre-sales, bids and proposal management

- COTS, Middleware Technologies, Portal Technologies, BI Platforms, Packages

Technical Skills & Languages:
- SOA, Portals, BI, EDW, Middleware

Soft Skills:
- Team Leading, Team Building, Communication & Inter-personal skills, etc.
