Employment: Full Time

Job Summary:
* Assist in all procurement, commercial and related activities across academies and Aldar Asset Management's Residential, Commercial, Retail, Hospitality & Leisure and Academies Business Units ensuring Aldar's requirements and expectations are managed through effective and measurable contracts mechanisms.

Roles and Responsibilities:
* Own process improvement for all requisition-to-pay activities for goods and services.
* Own continued improvement of the user experience as it relates to all procurement processes.
* Effectively communicate oral and written resolution of issues with all internal and external partners.
* Apply established procedures, policies, and standards with little or no supervisory guidance
* Proactively identify opportunities for sourcing and cost savings.
* Perform basic project management.
* Proactively initiate periodic review of work progress, action plans, and deliverables with line manager.
* Provide feedback to enable continuous improvement of the procurement process, compliance, and user experience.
* Contribute to Aldar Asset Management Procurement's strategic direction via process improvement efforts.
* Participate in the preparation and development of Requests for Information / Requests for Proposals and Requests for Quotations (RFIs / RFPs / RFQs) for vendors as well as prepare evaluation and analysis of responses, in line with Aldar's Asset Management Procurement Policies and Procedures.
* Participate in the selection and prequalification (including development of vendor's portfolios and establishment of structured supplier relationships and assist in supplier relationship management of vendors for Asset Management in concert with the User Department and Aldar Procurement Prequalification Department, ensuring all vendor details are constantly updated in the Aldar Wide Vendor Database.
* Assist in vendor liaison and participate in contract negotiations ensuring adherence to Aldar's Policies and Procedures.
* Assist in the preparation of all contracts across the Asset Management Portfolio, including updates (variations) and coordinate with all stakeholders to ensure timely sign-off is achieved.
* Assist in the development pre-agreed rates for certain goods / services to allow swift turnaround of contracts.
* Assist Asset Management Procurement in the preparation of all Procurement Performance Indicators on various databases, estimate of savings achieved through Procurement, cost avoidance, and various project databases and reports to maintain an estimate of savings achieved through Procurement, actual processing times of contracts and orders for the various Categories and recommend methods of improving these times.
* Support Asset Management Procurement in the development of additional indicators that can be used to benchmark and identify areas of improvement.

Requirements

* Minimum 6+ years management experience, with a demonstrable record of increased responsibility and/or complexity. Be capable of successfully working with multidiscipline, multinational teams.
* Bachelor's degree required - business or operational background is preferred.
* Professional Procurement Certification (e.g. CIPs) is preferred.
* Demonstrable experience and proven technical proficiency with appropriate procurement systems and analytic tools (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, MS Access, MS Project, ERP).
* Practical knowledge of procurement initiatives, to fulfil customer requirements and to retain and increase profitability, contributing to the goals and continued success of the business.
* Strong analytical, business process analysis and problem solving capabilities.
* Excellent Organisation and Communication Skills both in written and spoken English.
* Effective time management and organizational skills.
* Experience in multiple business sectors/spend categories.
* High motivation and results-oriented work ethic.
* Internal Communication: Regular communication with Senior Management, stakeholders and staff within own business unit and with counterparts throughout Aldar on complex and sensitive commercial and technical arrangements.
* External Communication: High level contact with key vendors.

Key Performance Indicators:
* Adherence to pre-qualification cycle time
* Comprehensiveness of contractors/suppliers database
* Supplier /Contractor satisfaction
* Project procurement cost savings (rebates/discounts, improved terms, etc.)
