Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Responsible for all activities related to administrating banks SQL Server service databases and ensuring the integrity and availability of databases and their accompanying software.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
- Supervises database administration activities and ensures database availability and integrity.
- Monitors database growth and projects storage requirements (Capacity Planning).
- Participates in application code design reviews and solutions design where applicable.
- Analyzes complex SQL statements.Conducts an impact analysis of the production releases.
- Monitors and tunes databases for optimum performance.
- Sets up backup and archival policy.
- Maintains and manage a Configuration Management Database.
- Develops and maintains DBA standards and Procedures.
- Review and validate new solution introduced into production.
- Analyze and provide recommendation of batch load optimization.
- Vendor Escalation for Troubleshooting.
- Analyzing incidence for resolution and ensure root cause analysis is done.
- Maintain up to date inventory of all database and ensure compliance.
- Conduct knowledge transfer sessions within the team.

Requirements

- Bachelor's Degree majoring in Computer Science/IT.
- Certified SQL Database administrator.
- 5+ years of experience in Database Administration activities.
