Senior Specialist, Network Security

Job description / Role

- Responsible for operations of in place security infrastructure and identification, investigation and resolution of security breaches detected and ensure compliance in accordance with ISO polices and standards.
- Ensure compliance of IT security infrastructure as per ISO agreed standards and guidelines.
- Responsible for the operational aspects of IT security infrastructure which includes day to day management, component administration, deployment, maintenance and upgrades.
- Responsible for maintaining up to date operational procedures which includes security infrastructure diagrams and procedural documentation.
- Responsible for submitting IT Security infrastructure changes to CAB.
- Ensure execution of the Enterprise wide patch management program covering the complete estate by the relevant teams.
- Ensure vendor related SLA performance reports are generated on a monthly basis.
- Responsible for maintaining an updated asset register of all security components.
- Ensure that reports are distributed to stakeholders on the performance, availability and downtime of IT Security devices.
- Ensure assistance is provided in investigating and supporting any on-going security incident.
- Report any significant security breaches to IT Management and ISO, participate in investigation; and working towards closure of identified security breach.
- Participate with Internal and external audits and working towards closure of Audit findings.
- Ensure Security Risk register is updated with latest identified security risks, recommend risk mitigation strategies and progress actions in conjunction with ISO.
- Responsible for working with ISO in managing the vulnerability fixes identified through vulnerability assessments and/or penetration testing.
- Ensure that all business recovery/contingency plans and procedures for security infrastructure are always kept up to date.
- Maintain up-to-date baselines for the secure configuration of all in-place. devices, whether they be under direct control (i.e., security tools, firewalls) or not (i.e., workstations, servers, databases etc.).
- Maintain operational configurations of all in-place security solutions as per the established baselines set by ISO.
- Maintain ownership of IP addressing scheme as agreed with ISO.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree majoring in Computer Science/Engineering
- CCNA, CCNP, CISP, ITIL
