The RoleThe RoleKEO International Consultants is a world ranked and leading Architectural, Engineering, and Project and Construction Management firm with offices in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, Bahrain, Dubai, Kuwait, Qatar and Oman. The Senior Specification Writer will be responsible for ensuring quality technical reviews are performed on specification contents and their associated drawings. |
RequirementsRequirementsPreference will be given to qualified candidates who can demonstrate experience in the following: • Proven ability to evaluate Drawings and schedule received and identify the missing information. • Work with Project Managers regarding specific project requirements, Bid Package etc. • Work with Design staff as well as other departments within KEO, specialist consultant etc. • Write Project Specifications and meet the Project delivery schedule. • Issue Addendums. • Providing design review for works done by other consultants. • Meet with manufacturers and suppliers. • Knowledge on latest developments on new products, construction techniques, codes and standards. • Effectively lead, mentor and train junior specification writers. • Thorough knowledge in design and construction process. • Good management and inter-personal skills. Essential Requirements: • Bachelors of Architecture and a Master program in Architecture or Construction • Minimum 10 years experience in Design and working documents, with an additional 5 years experience in site supervision. • Good knowledge of building materials and finishes. • Working knowledge of AIA MasterSpec, MasterFormat 2004, SectionFormat and PageFormat. IT knowledge in MS word, excel and project. • International and Local Code knowledge. Prior experience in the Gulf Region would be advantageous.
