The Role


Client: Largest business support services company

Job Purpose: To assist management in safeguarding of stocks across various stores locations, and to provide accurate financial information.

Objective: To ensure that stocks are safeguarded through a proper system of internal controls and policies and procedures. To ensure that accurate stocks information is compiled and collated, and reported to the management on a regular basis. To maintain accurate stocks counts at all times.

Responsibilities:

1. Responsibilities include leading an initial stock count on 12 stores locations of the company leading a team of 4 to 5 stock counters.

2. Also responsible for training the stores keeper about best practice policies and procedures.

3. Once stock count completed then responsible to ensure that storekeepers at all sites understand the objective and scope of their responsibilities.

4. The person will be responsible for collating stocks count each month and provide the information intelligently to the management.

5. He should also be continuously monitoring stocks movements and should be able to advise management on idle stocks utilization efficiently.

6. He should be the key responsible person for maintaining effective stocks control mechanism and accurate and updated stocks information at all sites through trained storekeepers.

7. The role will report directly to the Contracts Manager and will have dotted line reporting into Finance, QS and Planning departments.

Salary Offered: Up to 15K AED per month plus standard company benefits.

Qualification & Credentials:

1. The candidate must be having prior experience of managing a team of storekeepers.

2. The experience should include working for a construction or MEP company. Familiarity with construction related materials and technical items is essential.

3. The candidates must have a strong personality and good communication skill.

4. Must also have basic knowledge of excel and any other stores management software.

Other Requirements:

He would be required to coordinate with storekeepers who are generally south Asians and not very strong with their communication skills so he should be able to comprehend the conversations well and should be able to convey the message across effectively.
