Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

• Ensure on time responsiveness to clients’ supply chain requirements
• Oversee implementation of contracts and ensures contract conformity to KPIs and customer expectations
• Use company Vendor management system to maintain, expand and improve relationships with suppliers to ensure best-value is provided for all procurement / logistics transactions
• Employs close management policy with staff to ensure priorities are established, workloads and procurement activities are defined and results are monitored
• Carry out negotiation for high dollar amount orders or orders of critical nature
• Ensure team members are trained on the most up-to-date procurement, negotiations techniques, compliance requirement and system capabilities
• Ensure staff complies with the company’s business code of conduct and relevant host-nation laws in areas of operation
• Assist with mobilizing resources to support establishment of project teams and/or new product line to include sourcing/hiring key personnel, establishing standard operating procedures, contractual KPIs and converting new proposal pursuits for client
• Ensure that a high level of customer support is provided throughout the engagement and that day‐to‐day account management is effectively handled
• Maintain strong customer relationships through long‐term strategic account management and customer communications and engagement; interact directly with customers to extend/expand services solutions and to develop opportunities for new work
• Work closely with internal personnel as well as client on proprietary ERP systems to execute activities required by client
• Identify challenges with systems related issues in order to improve performance for the client
• Gain insight into buying decisions made by customer and provide value-added recommendations on ways to improve performance and reduce overall acquisition costs
• Manage logistics operations for material requirements of client to ensure that most efficient methods of transportation are utilized, both from an operational and financial perspective
• Source, vet and qualify logistics providers to support delivery of client material requirements
• Provide recommendations to internal and customer stakeholders for areas of improvement in order to achieve operational excellence
• Periodically travel as required to customer offices, both commercial and government, to discuss support of their projects
• Interface with senior management and other product line managers
• Provide regular feedback to Senior Leadership regarding operational activities
Competencies:
• Expert project/program management skills w/ strong business acumen required
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail with a practical approach to problem solving
• Advanced understanding of government and commercial contracting
• Advanced proficiency in MS Office and business management applications
• Solid understanding of business development and customer account management
• Ability to provide robust, informative reporting and analysis for customers and develop effective presentations on supply chain related subject matter to a broad audience
• Confident and persuasive public speaking skills, with the ability to comfortably interact with senior leadership of both current and future customers
• Ability to view projects, processes, and pursuits in terms of overall company strategy

Requirements

• 10+ years in Project / Procurement Management involving end-to-end supply chain operations, i.e. procurement and logistics activities
• 5+ years of experience at the Manager level in supply chain / project management
• Advanced Project Management certifications a plus
• Experience in managing a team of procurement / project management professionals
• Strong English written and oral communication skills
• University degree, advanced degree in business/supply chain management strongly desired
• Practical experience in project management on complex contracts to include interface with customer contracting offices and satellite offices for multinational organizations
• Proven ability to manage supply chain spend, i.e. procurement and transportation of material, between USD 50-100 million / annum
• Experience in US government contracting (Federal Acquisition Regulations) a major plus
• Expertise in marketing, business development, and customer service
• Market knowledge of supplier / logistics provider base in the GCC region
• Based In Dubai and must have UAE experience

Base salary, transportation, housing allowance (all together total around AED25-30K per month), plus medical insurance, two tickets per year to home origin and participation to company profit sharing plan
