Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

- Plans and directs analysis of complex business problems to be solved with automated systems by performing the following duties.
- Assess business alternatives, prepare economic models, complete complex valuation analyses, complete pricing analysis, prepare business cases & plans, and provide recommendations for optimizing business structures and performance.
Know-How (for all levels)
- Research and analyze the real estate industry, investment markets and other related company/business information and trends, and provide critical input and analysis for the real estate development and asset management strategies and planning efforts.
- Prepare annual and long term financial / business plans and budgets, and periodic status reports as required.
- Analyze current business performance and trends, provide routine management reports highlighting plan compliance and performance issues, identify cost reduction opportunities & methods, and recommend actions required to correct deviations.
- Prepare comprehensive business and project documentation as required for financing and joint venture proposals.
- Keep abreast of competitive industry developments and practices, and provide routine reports identifying business opportunities for management consideration.
Problem Solving (If any)
- Advise IT management regarding requirements of departmental processes and work with end users and IT personnel in the management of process change.
- Develop expertise in the departmental use of automated applications and serve as the point of contact for end users on proposed process and application changes.
- Assist the department in applications requirement specification and system selection.
- Coordinate linkages among marketing, sales, legal, and technical departments as required achieving business objectives.
- Identify, define, justify and source required research and analytical resources, considering internal & external sources, and lead and manage the required personnel.
Accountability
- Oversee & manage activities required for completion of business evaluations, feasibility studies & project cost proposals.
- Provide project management for departmental projects, track and report on project status and represent the department on interdepartmental project teams. Analyze departmental processes, and makes recommendations for business process reengineering.

Requirements

- Undergraduate degree from an internationally recognized university is required. A Masters Degree is preferable.
- Additional professional accreditation or relevant graduate degree is highly desirable.
- 10+ years of progressively responsible professional experience culminating in a role as a senior business strategist, with good understanding of company operations, both backend finance, HR and supply chain operations, as well as front-end business trends. Specific real estate industry experience is preferable.
- Broad international exposure & experience, including extensive experience in major projects.
- Excellent skills with computer productivity tools.
- Fluent in English language. Fluency in Arabic is a plus.
- Good problem solving skills and experience in working with senior management.
- Proven leadership and management skills in dynamic change environments with outstanding interpersonal skills, an open, action-oriented can-do attitude and willingness to wear multiple hats.
