Senior Structural Engineer

My client are a large global consultancy and they are looking to recruitment an experienced Senior Structural Engineer working on various water main projects working on water networks, pumping stations, water pipelines and reservoirs, based in and around Doha, Qatar.

Responsibilities

• Analysis of configurations of the basic structural components of structures on the project.
• Calculate pressures, stresses and strains of components of structure due to human use or environmental pressures.
• Liaise with other designers, including architects, to agree on safe designs and their fit with the aesthetic concept of the construction;
• Liaise with contractors to agree that project is structural sound
• Put together drawings, specifications and computer models of structures for building contractors;
• Investigate ground conditions and analyse results of site tests, such as soil samples;

Requirements

Requirements

Degree in Civil Engineering,
Must have a min of 10 years design & supervision experience in water main projects i.e. pumps, reservoir and piping
Proficiency in utilizing CAD and other PC software packages typically associated with engineering is required
