Building Engineering We deliver creative solutions for building projects for industry, government, commercial and leisure sectors. Our building engineering specialists have expertise in structural and building services engineering, fire engineering, acoustics, facades and seismic design. We embed sustainability principles in every design.We are looking to hire a Senior Structural Engineer to work on one of our projects based in Saudi Arabia.

Job Summary
The Senior Engineer, Structural, will work on the structural design of various types of medium to large projects such as commercial, high-rises, complex bridges and other mixed-use developments

Duties and Responsibilities

Completes a variety of assignments such as drawings, specifications and other materials suitable for procurement and construction purposes
Performs complex engineering tasks effectively and accurately
Extracts engineering information from CAD Drawings
Prepares engineering computations, material quantity takeoffs, estimates, surveys, and designs.
Responsible for interfacing with the other disciplines to insure proper co-ordination of the structural aspects of the project
Prepares detailed requisitions for equipment and materials.
Reviews supplier drawing submittals and performs technical bid analyses.
Prepares and issues specifications, data sheets, and other construction documents.
Provides technical guidance to CAD Designer/Drafters, Designers, and lower-level Engineers working on the same project.
May be required to provide the seal and signature of the professional engineer, as appropriate, ensuring compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, and ordinances.
May act in an advisory capacity to senior management personnel on engineering related matters.
Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

Qualification and Experience required

10-15 years of related work experience with a professional consulting firm
Saudi/Middle East experience required.
Bachelor's Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or a related field
Master's Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or a related field preferred.
Professional Engineer registration is strongly preferred

Specific Skills Required

Proficiency in utilizing various structural CAD and other PC software packages typically associated with Structural engineering
Substantial experience in structural steel and concrete design relating to foundations, buildings and other structures
Familiarity of industry practices and regulations
Thorough knowledge of current technology; must be able to select and apply appropriate engineering software for use on project
Experienced in the use of AutoCAD or Microstation
Experience with structural analysis tools like SAP, StaadPro, RAM or similar computer tools.
Familiarity with design standards like ASCE-07, IBC, ACI 318
Excellent communication skills to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
Ability to establish and maintaining effective working relationships with staff/Team
