Senior Syndications Manager

Job description / Role

Our client, a leading Islamic bank in the GCC, has the following career opportunities due to the current strategic expansion of their business in Qatar. The bank's total financing portfolio grew rapidly in the third quarter of 2014 reflecting a high growth rate. The bank has built a reputation as a highly valued, Shariah-based financial institution, not only locally, but also regionally and internationally. Their business is driven by a team of professionals who have the requisite talent, skills, expertise, knowledge and creativity.

Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of syndication packages for the bank.
- Design & support the syndication process from end to end.
- Create financing proposals for key clients and investors.
- Structuring, determine pricing, and assess financing options.
- Create and present new loan proposals to banks credit committee and board of directors.
- Market Syndication deals to the local and the international market.
- Manage & develop a team, providing key training where necessary.
- Arrange & structure proposals to a syndicate of banks.
- Manage the relationship with the prime corporate clients in the Bank.

Requirements

- Professional experience in banking with at least 8+ years industry knowledge.
- 5 years experience in a relevant/similar role within a banking organization.
- Strong analytical skills with a high technical knowledge of Syndication.
- Thorough knowledge of banking & financial rules & regulations within the local market.
- A relevant Degree, desirably with a Masters &/or relevant qualifications.
- English speaking, writing & reading.
