MSD remit covers Data Centers Operations, Servers & Storage, Networks (Voice and Data), Workplace Systems & Services, Service Delivery (including Service Desk) and Security. The end to end services provided to the group companies include consulting, design, deployment and support of the above for a range of business applications which includes ERP, Messaging and Retail Solutions etc.We are looking to recruit a Senior Systems Engineer for our Managed Services Division.* Contributing to the overall success of our enterprise by supporting our enterprise windows server and storage (primary and secondary) infrastructure.* Architecting and implementing highly available server and storage solutions across several locations for infrastructure and application services.* Plan, configure and oversee the implementation of the computing infrastructure in co-ordination with users, customers, principals, service provides, business partners and hardware / software vendors to ensure implementation meets design parameters with minimal disruption to the business.* Installing, configuring and maintaining enterprise level server and storage hardware and applications* Performing proactive and reactive maintenance outside of business hours, following the company's change management and operational procedures* Provide level 3 support and speedy resolution for problems escalated by service desk, support engineers & system administrators.* Troubleshoot and provide solution in a timely manner for complex multi-vendor system issues in hardware, operating system and infrastructure & Systems Management applications.* Provide support for project implementation.* Keep abreast of contemporary systems technologies and tools, evaluate and recommend for incorporating into Group network. |
RequirementsRequirements * 6+ years of experience in WINTEL Server and storage Design, Implementation and Support.* Good knowledge in Microsoft Windows, Active Directory, Exchange, Sharepoint, Lync, Intel Servers, SAN / NAS, Physical & Virtual Tape Libraries, Enterprise Backup Software (IBM, Symantec, Commvault, etc), Systems Security software, Systems Management Tools. Must have worked with systems and tools from Enterprise vendors such as HP, IBM, NetApps, Microsoft, & Symantec and niche vendors such as M86Security, Axway, Quest Software, etc.* Must be an expert in two or more of the following- Server (Intel) & SAN Infrastructure / Microsoft Sharepoint, Lync, Active Directory / Systems Security/ Disaster Recovery / Enterprise Archival & Backup Solutions* Must have full lifecycle experience including gathering requirements, design, test, documentation, configuration and maintenance.* Must be able to work occasional weekends and after office hours.* Strong problem-solving skills* Highly motivated and strong team player with excellent communication skills.* CISSP / / ITIL v3 / PMP certification will have a high preference.* Degree or Diploma holder in Computer Science or related discipline.* UAE Driving License |
