Job description / Role
Our client is looking for an experienced professional with at least 20 years experience in Retail Banking. It is essential you have the following skill set:-
Responsible for managing infrastructure value of around AED 50 Million and software licenses AMC around AED 30 Million
Develop and present to senior business leaders on Technology Innovations and influence on decision making
Influence Business to approve Technology Capacity and budgets for all Capex
Responsible for supporting and troubleshooting infra related issues for offshore locations (WNS, Tech Bangalore, etc.)Responsible for IT Service management to deliver quality services to the end users
Responsible for managing and administration of web applications like IBM Web sphere , Oracle Web logic Oracle Application Services etc
Support corporate Disaster Recovery Plan of 50+ IL0 and IL1 applications and implement technologies to ensure the highest availability of Mission Critical systems
Responsible to provide and manage the banks technology infrastructure, ensuring that security and environments are maintained as per bank standards.
Responsible for overseeing the Technology operations in international locations
Manage the Technical service support for International Projects, Support, Disaster Recovery and IT compliance thereby aligning Technology to business globally for UAE, GCC (Qatar, Egypt, Kuwait, Bahrain) and international locations (US, UK, India, Dhaka, Karachi, HK).
Responsible to maintain and administer Infrastructure applications Active Directory, Messaging services (Email, right fax, blackberry etc.), Virtualization, Storage area Network and Faxing solution
Responsible (jointly with Technology Production Support) for the ongoing monitoring and reporting of capacity to ensure applications are not impacted due to lack of capacity.
Plan and review IT infrastructure, MBO, SLAs and Incidents.
Responsible for the planning of Capex and Opex based on the existing / future infrastructure plans
Responsible for managing, optimizing and budgeting license requirements
Manage a diversified team of professionals both onshore & offshore who are responsible for the infrastructure management of all the critical and non critical applications of the bank.
Responsible to implement and sustain the lean initiatives
Requirements
Responsible for managing all hardware platforms (UNIX, Microsoft Windows both operating system and hardware) and all end point devices (About 1500 servers including windows and UNIX platforms, 5000+ desktops, laptops ,Blackberry)
Responsible to manage and administer all the databases (SQL & Oracle) including all mission critical systems (200+ Oracle database systems, 100+ Microsoft SQL databases) and critical systems which needs to be available for 24*7.
Responsible for managing the Server Virtualization VMware and Citrix environments. (About 800 virtualized servers)
