FAMCO is an ISO 9001:2008 & ISO 14001:2004 certified company.We are looking for an experienced Senior Technician - Compressed Air Products to join our team in Saudi Arabia. You will be responsible for ensuring all necessary repairs are carried out as per the standard specification ensuring minimum downtime and resolution defects resulting in customer satisfaction. The senior technician will analyse all repairs and maintenance of all air compressors and tools The key accountabilities of this role will include: * Checking and diagnosing the equipment in order to determine the cause of malfunctioning. Carry out diagnosis, checks and inspection of all required equipment. * To assess the cause of failure of parts and submit appropriate reports that enable decisions to be made on repairing the unit(s) and the use of spare parts. * Plan and carry out the necessary repairs on-site and in workshop using standard tools and instruments and with perceived time frame. * Liaise with the Workshop Foreman to ensure timely availability of parts for repair works and reports discrepancies to Line Manager in a timely manner. * Make cost effective use of materials and available timeframe in order to maintain the highest productivity levels. * To remain abreast with the latest regulations, standards and good working practices within the industry in relation to compressed air regulations and equipment and ensure the workshop is tidy and tool boxes are kept to the required standards. |
RequirementsRequirementsThe selected candidate will have the following eduction, skills and experience; * A Higher National Certificate or Diploma in mechanical engineering * 5 years post certificate experience in repair/service industry within a heavy industrial background * Past pneumatic compressor technician role essential - manufacture not an issue although Ingersoll Rand experience will be advantageous. * Good English skills both written and spoken with Arabic and advantage. * Experience of working and living in Saudi Arabia a preference. * High degree of motivation and expected to work with minimum supervision. |
