The RoleThe RoleKEO International Consultants is a highly ranked and award winning planning, architecture, engineering and project and construction management firm with offices in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, Bahrain, Dubai, Jordan, Kuwait, Malaysia, Oman, Qatar and Saudi Arabia. Working within KEO’s Infrastructure Division as a Senior Traffic Engineer you will be responsible for production, verification and assessment of technical designs, plans and associated documentation during the different stages of design for Infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with relevant engineering and QMS standards and project requirements. Preference will be given to qualified candidates who can demonstrate experience in the following: • Ability to carry out feasibility and optioneering studies. • Develop and prepare design drawings, reports, technical and materials specifications. • Prepare capital cost estimates, bills of quantities and project delivery schedules for assigned projects. • Resolve complicated design problems using both manual and computer methods with minimal supervision. • Develop new ideas or alter existing designs to meet special needs where no standard application will fulfill project requirements, with the approval of Project Manager. • Assist in obtaining design approval from authorities/agencies. • Maintain quality control and quality standards in all work output, checking computations, designs, drawings, plans, estimates and reports prepared for comprehensiveness, technical accuracy and sound application of engineering principles and standards. • Assign tasks to and oversee work performed by Associate and Project Engineers • Participate in preparation of proposals |
RequirementsRequirementsQualification: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or MSc in Transport Engineering/Planning from an accredited university plus a Chartered Engineer or Professional Engineer (PE) registration or other similar professional organisation. Minimum of 10 years post graduate experience in Traffic and Transportation Modeling on major highway projects. Previous experience gained within a Consultancy would be beneficial, whilst prior experience in the Gulf Region is advantageous.
