Job description / Role
Experience in Traffic Engineering and Project Management of Infrastructure Project specialized in Metro Rail Projects, Transportation Planning and Highway projects.
Specialize in Planning and Management of Traffic Impact Assessment (TIA), Traffic and Transport schemes, regional traffic studies and Traffic Detouring, technical inputs in design and providing various methodologies for major Infrastructure Development Projects
Oversee Traffic Engineering Aspects of safety; traffic counts surveys and junction analysis using the relevant transportation software tools.
Establishing traffic network diagrams, Assessment reports, statistical data analysis, access study and review presentation of the results to the client.
Proven experience in transportation modeling analysis involving assessing the traffic impact of new developments/projects using EMME/3 based network and traffic impact study (TIS)
Undertake feasibility studies, preliminary and detailed design of traffic signal junctions, signalized crossings and other intelligent transport systems.
Review and Recommend on the Traffic Management Plan (TMP) of the contractors for the diversion/detouring and ensuring smooth operation of traffic.
Conduct field trips and make recommendation for site-specific design change, introduce new procedure and traffic engineering concept for improvement.
Liaison with Consultants, Contractors, Management Team and with local authorities and ministerial agencies.
Familiar with various simulation models such as VISSIM and VISUM
Requirements
Minimum of 12 years post graduate experience
GCC experience is a must
Knowledge of traffic analysis tools such as SYNCHRO, VISUM, VISSIM, HCS, CORSIM and other traffic engineering software.
Proven ability to perform in a technical capacity
Thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations.
