The RoleThe RoleThis role provides guidance to employees and trainees and identifies essential functions and knowledge, skills and abilities required; ensures employees compliance with Qatargas competency standards, professional and safety certifications in keeping with the Company’s professed Incident and injury-Free (IIF) culture. Provides work direction and guidance to less-experienced instructors and follows up on their performance both on a routine basis and as part of their annual performance appraisal cycle. Provides leadership and manages the Operations competency performance expectations for new hires and established professionals. Manages orientation and induction programs for new employees’; trains and provides adequate learning support for employees; coaches, counsels and motivates employees. Key Accountabilities Ensures that employees have the right skills to meet the business needs of the organisation; assures alignment of individual career planning and organization talent management processes to achieve an optimal match between individual and organizational needs; promoting individual growth and organizational renewal Analyses key jobs and roles to determine the knowledge and skills necessary for high performance; develops success profiles for key roles. Works with internal clients to determine the mix and level of capability required to meet current need and future strategic objectives. Selects, modifies or creates appropriate design or specification documents and models or plans for a given project; identifies and documents measurable learning objectives; selects and uses a variety of techniques to define, structure, and sequence the instructional content; designs instructional content to reflect an understanding of the diversity of learners; integrates on-the-job application tools and learning aids into the overall design methodology. Ensures that progress of all Work Place Learning (WPL) programs of trainees are as per schedule and completed in a timely manner, through daily follow up and coordination with Operations Plant Superintendents, Supervisors and Coaches. Facilitates the career development planning process; provides support for identifying skills, aptitudes, interests, values, accomplishments, career goals, and realistic opportunities, and for preparing development plans; orchestrates challenging assignments that build skills, knowledge, confidence and credibility; monitors alignment between success profiles and individual training/development plans. Participates in the Company’s Quality nationalization plan. Provides specialist technical support in developing curricula , courses material and maintain related technologies. Regularly reviews training materials to ensure they continue to meet the specified standard after completion of WPL program. Conducts and co-ordinates s with the identified local accredited centres for Work Place Learning (WPL) to audit training programs on a day to day basis. Participates in the development of training and development budgets and tracking costs and expenditures. |
RequirementsRequirementsBachelor’s degree plus 10 years of stretching, developmental work field experience, ideally within the oil/gas industry, including 3 years in a similar position. Computer literacy and English language are essential.
