The RoleThe Role- Dealing with modeling and simulating specific pedestrian / vehicular traffic schemes such as estimating the level of service of intersections, ramps, and freeways - Calculating weaving lengths using “The Highway Capacity Manual” analytical approaches. - Preparing traffic reports dealing with queuing theory and applying the analytical analyses of either stochastic or deterministic approaches. - Coordinating with other engineering departments as well as between site and office. - Dealing with clients, Government, public and private authorities - Conducting traffic impact, access and parking studies. He should be familiar with cost sharing and contributions of developers to the provision of road infrastructure. |
RequirementsRequirements- Minimum 10 years experience - Degree in Civil Engineering, a Masters in Transportation Engineering is a plus. - Extensive experience in Transport Planning and Traffic Engineering such as analysis of junctions, roundabouts, weaving, road network capacity and queuing at exit / entry slip ramp… - Good knowledge of the design criteria defined in the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) and manual on Uniform Traffic control Devices (MUTCD). - Strong organizational and project management skills to perform day-to-day management of a large and complex portfolio - Knowledge of Traffic Engineering and Transport Planning Softwares such as ISUM, SYNCHRO, SIDRA, OSCADY, ARACADY , PICADY, HCS and AUTOCAD LAND DESKTOP and all Microsoft tools - Strong communication skills - Good command of English and Arabic |
