The RoleThe RoleInternational insurance and reinsurance company looking for a Senior Underwriter with an engineering/marketing/insurance background and experience for its HQ offices in the Gulf. Functions Include: Manage the overall operations of the engineering section to ensure achievement of the business plan and ensure portfolio profitability. Underwrites risks in accordance with underwriting guidelines, delegated authority and operational procedure manual. Monitor and analyze the existing business portfolio and perform remedial measures where deemed appropriate to secure the targeted technical results. Establish and maintain relationships with producers to develop existing business portfolios and create business opportunities. Prepare the placement of all specific outward reinsurance, including compilation of renewal information and statistics in a timely and accurate manner. RequirementsRequirementsRequired Experience: Minimum 7 years of relevant underwriting, marketing and administrative experience. Required Qualifications: University Degree (preferably Engineering). Professional Insurance Accreditation. Required Technical Skills: Proven underwriting skills. Good command of English (Arabic is an advantage). Interpersonal and communicational skills. Leadership skills. Marketing and Managerial skills. Computer Literacy.
