Our client, a leading insurance company based in Bahrain, is seeking to recruit 2 Senior Underwriters, 1 for Marine&Casualty and 1 non Marine (Fire Engineering.)
Essential Work Activities:
Assess the risks offered and review proposal forms.
Decide on the terms and conditions of the policy to be issued.
Dealing with referrals from regional offices.
Authority up to 20% of treaty limits.
Ensuring that when facultative reinsurance required, that the Company is not left exposed before binding of risk.
Helping to ensure the profitability of the account.
Meeting clients and brokers.
Ensuring that responses and quotations are given in a timely manner.
Helping prepare the treaty information for the unit head.
Adhere to the contents of the Operating Procedures Manual (OPM) and the Companys overall internal procedures and policies.
Performs such other duties as may be required from time to time.
Educational, Skills and Experience:
7-10 years of experience.
University degree is a must or holder of professional qualifications e.g. CII or Dip CII.
Substantial progress towards ACII.
Expert knowledge in Underwriting.
Strategic understanding of international and local laws and regulations.
Medium team work management.
Advanced data analysis.
Good command in English.
