CH2M HILL Senior Urban Planner, Doha - Qatar
Job Purpose
Qatar will be hosting the 2022 FIFA World Cupâ„¢ and become the first Middle East nation in history to stage this event. The associated construction programme will be part of a major country regeneration programme including the development of required infrastructure, competition and noncompetitive venues.CH2M HILL is the programme management (PMC) responsible for the construction management of competition venues, training sites, associated common domain precincts and the coordination of the regeneration programme integration works, acting on behalf of the client Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy
Responsibilities
The opportunities and challenges for urban planning are tremendous.
Within the PMC we have a small Urban Planning Team (that combines town planners, architects /urban designers, landscape architects and specialists in lighting and wayfinding), with a large role in establishing the foundations for what is needed at a precinct, neighbourhood and national level.
The team is knitted into the wider set-up and there is very close working between specialist disciplines, providing much scope for learning and creative inter-play.
We have an immediate opportunity to strengthen the team with an experienced Senior Urban Planner.
