Job description / Role
My client who are a boutique branding agency is looking for a Senior Web Application Developer experienced in building interfaces to rich Internet applications to join their design team. They are looking for an individual skilled in highly dynamic web interface development (HTML, JavaScript, AJAX, jQuery).
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
1. Builds software applications - Follows coding standards, builds appropriate unit tests, integration tests and deployment scripts
2. Assists in defining software architectures Collaborates with leads to explore existing systems, determines areas of complexity, potential risks to successful implementation, learns the applications capabilities
3. Communicates continually with the client and project teams Explains progress on the development effort
4. Owns success - Takes responsibility for successful delivery of the solutions
5. Contributes to continual improvement by suggesting improvements to user interface, software architecture or new technologies
Requirements
1. Highly skilled at front-end engineering using Object-Oriented JavaScript, various JavaScript libraries and micro frameworks (jQuery, Angular, Prototype, Dojo, Backbone, YUI), HTML and CSS
2. Well versed in software engineering principles, frameworks and technologies
3. Excellent communication skills
4. Self-directed team player who thrives in a continually changing environment
5. Strong customer service/client service skills
