The RoleThe RoleResponsible for delivering high performance and availability of the servers. This includes the administration and configuration as required. •Responsible for the maintenance of hardware on Intel Processor Based Servers including blades •Responsible for the configuration of Intel Virtual infrastructure •Support on Middleware such as Websphere, MQ, Oracle Apps, JBOSS & Web Servers (IIS, Oracle HTTP, IBM HTTP) •Responsible for the administration of Monitoring systems •Manage patching and administration of Windows Servers and ensuring patching of desktops •Monitors system activity as required by management from time to time. •Responsible for liaising with the vendor to arrange replacement or faulty equipment as required •Support the server management team lead •Ensure delivery of service levels to the bank •Monitors developments in database technology to be able to make suggestions for improvements •Undertake similar or related tasks or duties as directed by senior management. |
RequirementsRequirementsExperience •At least 3-4 years in system operations for a large banking or corporate organisation. •Working knowledge and experience of banking operations: servers systems and related problems •Knowledge of Windows Server Systems •Ability to prioritise and handle multiple tasks •Written and verbal communication skills in English •Experience in incident management and resolution Experience in managing software releases and configuration management •Excellent interpersonal skills . Minimum Education Level University Degree in Computer Studies or the equivalent. Professional Qualification Relevant certifications from Microsoft, VMWare, IBM, Citrix, etc. |
