The Role

Al-Futtaim represents some of the world's most popular and desirable automotive brands including; Toyota, Lexus, Hino, Honda, Volvo, Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge.We are looking for an experienced Service Advisor to join our workshop in Ras Al Khaimah.  Service Advisors are the first contact in the Workshop for a customer and provides a window to the workshop. Job holder should be an image builder for the Service Department and present a picture of faith and confidence.The main responsibilities of the role will include (but not be limited to):

VEHICLE RECEPTION
Ensure condition of vehicle is thoroughly checked and discrepancies noted and communicated to customer while receiving the vehicle ; and record any customer requests.

VEHICLE DELIVERY
Ensure proper delivery of the vehicle to the customer and clearly communicate to the customer the jobs carried out.

FOLLOW-UP
During service : Follow-up to ensure timely delivery of the vehicle to customer.
Post service : Check performance and repair quality of car.
Between Service : Ensure customer is reminded about the next service due.

COMMUNICATION
Ensure effective personal and telephonic communication with customers regarding charges, approvals and negotiations and ensure equally clear and concise communication with foreman regarding job.

TECHNICAL DECISION MAKING
Establish and confirm customer complaints and decide upon normal / abnormal condition of the vehicle.

ESTIMATION
Provide estimates of simple repairs to customer and negotiate repair charges (and service charges, if required)

Requirements

You will have the following skills and experience:* Technically competent, with ability to understand customer needs and requirements* Ability to provide established standards of Customer Service through diagnostic ability, assessment of repairs/maintenance and most importantly quality customer care * Strong analytical, communication and inter-personal skills with administrative competence vital for this role * Computer literate with a solid understanding of Microsoft applications * Ability to advise customers on the required jobs in a timely, professional manner * Flair for selling value added services, service contracts and accessories. * Proactive approach when dealing with customer complaints, with ability to resolve discrepancies and issues appropriately. * A degree/ diploma in Automobile/Mechanical Engineering would be preferred* You will have at least 2 years experience as Service Advisor/Service Consultant, within a reputable automotive dealership/similar
