Employment: Full Time

Reporting to: Finance Manager

Broad description of responsibilities:

This important role ensures that the achievement of client collection targets, essential to the profitability of the company, are met. This role manages collection of overdue accounts, reduce the outstanding debtors and maintain cash flow.

They support the Community Management team by collecting Service Charge payments from our clients.

The position of credit controller within the organisation is tasked primarily with the function of following up on outstanding debts for our numerous clients.

Responsibilities will include calling clients in relation to their outstanding balances in a polite, courteous, manner, answering queries from clients, reporting on actions taken and escalating any required actions through the correct channels.

Skills should include good spoken English, other languages are welcome and Arabic an advantage, a polite manner and a solid work ethic. To be computer literate

This is an important role within the organization and full training and support will be given, though in time you will be expected to work on your own initiatives and be able to reach the required work targets.

Key Tasks:
1. To process all outstanding debtors in relation to service charge aged balances within the company portfolio. To ensure that payment occurs between the two parties according to agreed terms.
2. Maintain a schedule and detailed notes regarding correspondence between our stakeholders within the companys portfolio
3. Verify all current account information on the system verify telephone numbers, address, email and fax is updated
4. Follow up with owners for timely payment of Service Charges
5. Follow up with Community Managers regarding common complaints
6. Follow up with Finance to ensure accurate records and correspondence being maintained
7. Liaising with Legal and Debt Collections agencies as per company procedure
8. Increase Service Charge Collections and reduce Aged Debtors
9. Daily Records to be kept as per company policy for reporting purposes
10. Daily requested to be circulated to appropriate party for resolution within 48 hours.
11. At times to perform other duties over and above those specified above.

SCOPE OF WORKS
1. Attend to all calls professionally, be friendly and helpful. Do not argue with the customers. Always make sure your customer is happy before finishing the conversation.
2. Check telephone numbers, postal address, and delivery address with customer. Change details immediately if necessary.
3. Always ensure the customer gets the right information they requested. If ledger card, SOA etc need to be issued, do it immediately do not delay.
4. Ensure notes are updated immediately after each call.
5. Phone a pre-determined number of customers per day. Priority to be issued by Line Manager
6. Attend to all messages within an hour of receiving it.
7. Follow up regularly on any overdue accounts, keep customer and Community Manager updated at all times
8. Keep your management informed with Daily/Weekly/Monthly Reports

Requirements

The candidate will require previous experience of gaining late payment from debtors and spread sheet / data base use.

Communication skills via telephone and email very important. Arabic speaking an advantage.

Attention to detail and a nature of keeping detailed records and able to follow up based on recorded deadlines and targets.
