The RoleThe RoleThe Service Desk agent is the first point of contact with the users who seek technical assistance regarding computer technology issues. He/she will provide technical support over the phone, remotely and in person, and is responsible for maintaining the smooth operation of the services provided by IT to client facilities. Responsibilities: - Answer users 'inquiries (in person and via phone) regarding computer software and hardware operation to resolve problems. Follow the standard Help Desk operating procedures; accurately log all Help Desk call and their progress details. - Determine source of computer problems, such as hardware, software, network, application, and user access, and then transfer the call to an IT Support Engineer or other staff member as appropriate. - Generate monthly report/chart/statistics of calls. Respond to questions from callers and walk-ins. Other duties as assigned by the IT Directors or his representative. |
RequirementsRequirementsBachelor Degree or Higher Diploma in Information Technology or related field ITJL, ICDL and other relevant professional certifications are highly preferable. Experience with HP service Manager Helpdesk system. Arabic as & English fluency is a must. Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. Minimum 3years experience in government environment. |
