Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Our client is a UAE Based well renowned & Leading ship builder and support contractor for all Naval, Military and Commercial Operators in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) needs the following personnel for permanent employment. Candidates for these positions must meet the following requirements:

Perform the following to meet different maintenance activities on-board ship Platform system/Equipments:
- Organize and supervise the activities and work of subordinates to ensure that all work within a specific area of the activity is carried out in an efficient manner which is consistent with operating policies and procedures.
- Provide on job training and constructive feedback to subordinates to support their overall development.
- Conduct the repair or maintenance work of complex mechanical defects along with the technicians in order to complete the work on time, as per cost schedule and ensuring high quality standards.
- Develop daily work schedules and manning levels for the personnel and follow-up regularly with the technicians on the work progress in order to achieve the successful completion of the maintenance activity.
- Execute PM and CM as per the work order/Job card for all mechanical systems.
- Identify and report defects and abnormalities
- Identify spares.

Requirements

- Degree in Engineering with 8 years experience or Diploma in Engineering with 10 years of marine / offshore experience in similar role.
- Technical knowledge of ships
- Knowledge of how to read and comprehend technical specifications, drawings and setting to work and test and trials procedures.
- Knowledge of ships operations and ship systems
- Knowledge of structural and piping on-board
- Knowledge of Hydraulic and Pneumatic systems

Preference shall be given to candidates with hands on experience in preventive and corrective maintenance of equipment onboard Marine/Naval ships.

4. Passport.
