Job Overview

We are currently looking for a Service Engineer - WSG based in Dubai. The successful candidate will primarily be responsible for equipment installations, start-up and servicing required to support our sales division.

Main Responsibilities

•Liaises with sales reps in field and customers for equipment installations, start-up and servicing.
•Hand-on working with Controllers, electrical & electronic equipment such as pumps, valves, agitators, trouble shooting and operation and maintenance.
•Hands-on working with Instruments such as pH, ORP, Conductivity analyzers, its maintenance, calibration etc.
•Cable terminations, junction box installations, electrical instrument cable routing.
•Assists customer in piping, tubing and instrument installations for their equipment and piping as required.
•Generates proper scoping & proposal documentation (incl. Scope of Works, method statements, concept design, Risk Assessments, Technical Sheets and Maintenance Protocol)
•Generates schematic drawings in AUTOCAD
•Coordinates equipment related activities through Equipment planners, Service Technicians and 3rd party DBI partners (Design Build & Install)
•Evaluates and monitors the progress and costs of projects within region
•Ensures all projects are completed to a high quality standard within budget including on site commissioning and start up supervision
•Assists customer in establishing signal exchange between PLC and DCS/SCADA (Control panels), modifications required.
•Generates / writes Project Documentation or/and compile sub-contractor documentation in line with contractual agreed project document index
•Submits project status reports on a weekly/monthly basis in the companies reporting system.

Requirements

•Requires a college or bachelor's degree in the appropriate engineering discipline plus five to ten years field experience or six years of experience with Nalco chemical processes in a technical capacity
•Requires the ability to communicate and deal effectively with customers, Nalco sales and contractor engineering, construction, maintenance and operations staff.
•Current knowledge of federal, state, local regulations and engineering standards applicable to assignments required
•Evidence of good Mechanical and Electrical Engineering knowledge
•Proficient in MS Office and Outlook.
•AutoCAD & Visio knowledge is added advantage.
•Experience in Water treatment related Projects is preferred
•Strong organizational, time management, and multi-tasking skills
•Approximately 90% time in field (includes extensive travel) and 10% in office.
•Fluent English language (Arabic language added advantage)
