Besides Toyota, AF Motors also holds exclusive franchises for some of the world's top automobiles and automotive products like Hino - Japan's leading heavy-duty vehicle manufacturer, Toyo & Chen shin/ Maxxis tyres, GS & Panasonic batteries and many more.To provide full back-up support to these world-class franchises, AF Motors have an established network of showrooms and service & parts centres throughout the UAE.Based in Dubai, UAE, the Service Manager (Workshop and Equipment Division) will manage all service activities within the workshop equipment division of various franchises with an objective of achieving service budget.JOB CONTEXT:* Responsible for providing all customer contact, non productive and productive staff with training guidelines based on needs analysis* Collect information from technicians, customers and other principal members* Able to come to quick calculated conclusions in order to support excellent customer satisfaction results* Products Handled: Workshop Equipment, Service Contracts* Market Covered: UAE and Gulf region AFTER SALES -SERVICE AND WARRANTY* Equip the workshop with necessary tools and equipment to carry out jobs efficiently* Train service staff to carry out service objectives* Ensuring correct management to all reporting staff on all aftersales related operations* Identifying faults (through workmanship or manufacturing), thereby deciding who would be eligible to cover these costs AFTERSALES REPORTING * Ensure that quality reporting of aftersales, from branches to distributor and vice versa is maintained* Report to line management on a continual basis regarding aftersales issues* Tracking of all training records of all staff* Providing professional technical advice on customer's requirements FIELD VISITS * Conduct field support visits to respective customers and installation sites across the UAE* Ensure regular visits to customers to enhance aftersales business* Visit and conduct relational meetings with all existing prospective customers AFTERSALES TRAINING OPERATIONS* Ensure that each service technician has a clear and understandable career path and objectives PRINCIPALS VISITS, SURVEYS AND FEASIBILITY STUDIES* Conduct time and motion studies in coordination with all relevant parties* Conduct feasibility studies on manpower, facility and equipment requirements, to ensure sustainable growth in the service industry TOOLS, EQUIPMENT AND FACILITIES * Advise on tool and equipment requirements to improve branch workshop efficiency* Ensure that all tools, equipments are always maintained, and that risk audits are conducted on a regular basis to reduce the risk of injury.BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT* Provide technical and operational inputs to projects, for the development and expansion of service department* Ensure the sustainment of all aftersales databases management. Provide assistance and advise on marketing campaigns, equipment/tool selection, needs and productivity enhancements ideas* Provide efficient work layouts and assistance of Product research and fitment layouts |
RequirementsRequirementsSERVICE EXCELLENCE AWARD * Ensure all principal members understand all policy and procedures related to service excellence programs and initiatives BUDGETING CONTROL * Provide inputs and assistance to line manager service division annual budget COORDINATION OF CUSTOMER RELATIONS * The coordination and monitoring of all customer relations activities with the line manager and principal members* Monitoring of Customer Satisfaction results and analysing strong and weak areas in order to improve customer satisfaction AFTERSALES POLICIES AND PROCEDURES/OPERATIONAL COMPLIANCE * Ensure that all policies and procedures for aftersales operations are adhered to by all staff under the reporting structure* Participate in all distributor workshops and skill development programs You will have the following skills and experience to be considered for this position:* 5 years or more relevant experience in an automotive workshop equipment environment* At least 2 years Managerial experience within a workshop equipment environment * Preferably hold a Diploma or Degree in Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering (not essential)* Fluent English communication skills* A solid understanding of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Powerpoint) packages* SAP Production Type experience would be hugely beneficial* Strong problem solving and diagnostic skills* Analytical and customer orientated in personality* A strong communicator, able to diversify experience where necessary* Able to show initiative as an implementor of change procedures. |
