The Role


The Role


• Minimize equipment that is Under Repair and Awaiting Inspection and give daily updates to the Service Assistant / Hire Desk Controller.
• Responsible for disciplinary procedures to correct performance and behavioral deviations of the depot and project site engineering staff.
• Management and coaching of all Engineering Personnel to enhance performance.
• Timely execution of regular maintenance and servicing of all equipment in accordance to Aggreko service procedures.
• Ensure that all service related documentation is completed and submitted by Service Team and sent to the Technical records Department in Jebel Ali within the correct timeframe.
• Timely reaction to field equipment breakdowns (in and out of hours)
• Control of repeat failures on equipment.
• Repair and Maintenance of all equipment / fleet.
• Minimize turnaround time of equipment returning from hires.
• Ensure all equipment dispatched is prepared to the highest standards in line with Aggreko procedures.
• Ensure that site installations (to designed layout) are commissioned and decommissioned to Aggreko standards within pre-determined time frames.
• Management, identification and maintenance of all ancillary equipment. Particular attention must be given to the correct preparation of fleet electrical distribution equipment.
• Support all projects including Power Generation, Temperature Control and Load Bank hires, ensuring that full technical support is offered to all departments within the depot.
• Support all hires with electrical and mechanical assistance as and when required.
• Responsible for regular QHSE meetings with the nominated representatives from AME QHSE Department.
• Adherence to EH&S Best Operating Practices Policy & ISO9001:2000 procedures. All service related procedures must be understood and followed as per company policy. Must be able to coach and train all direct reports on Aggreko procedures including EH&S Best Operating Policy & ISO9001:2000.

• Mature attitude, capable of working in a team and demonstrating leadership qualities.
• Willing to travel away from home depot to work in other areas temporarily.
• Capable of administration and working to written procedures.
• Experience/knowledge/qualification in a mechanical or electrical field. Cummins product knowledge or Aggreko product knowledge would be an advantage.
• Computer literate.
• Good oral and written English communication skills.
• Flexible worker, team player, physically fit, capable of working independently, customer-service oriented.
• Commitment to safety on sites and well-being of personnel
• Driving license essential.
