The RoleThe RoleThis role is a technical and business support position within our Defence Aerospace business, focusing on Helicopter Engines. Key elements of this position include: Provide Technical Support on all models of M250 and RR300 engines to all levels of personnel at customer facilities. Understand airframe configurations, engine installations and their operation. Travel to customer facilities in an effort to ensure customer needs are being met. Timely and efficient communication with all levels of customer management to educate, understand and troubleshoot engine problems. Liaise and report back to Indianapolis on technical issues and findings clearly and concisely to ensure problem resolution is accomplished. Define work scopes for Total Care and Warranty repairs. Process Total Care and Warranty claims and review scrap removed from Total Care and Warranty repairs. Interface with Regional Executives to ensure business issues are being effectively addressed and all opportunities are identified. Act as a liaison with FIRST Network Members assigned to assist in: engine repair, component repairs, technical assistance and training. Assist and/or conduct accident investigations and support the litigation process if required. Identify potential failures and support engineering through data and hardware gathering to conduct a failure analysis. Conduct customer on site training both formally and informally. Give technical presentations at Maintenance Conferences and trade shows. Act as a goodwill ambassador for Rolls-Royce and ensure the company is displayed in a positive light. Identify business growth opportunities within territory and communicate to both the local office and the Indianapolis program office. Work with OEM's and their representatives to resolve technical/business issues with our customers. Territory: Middle East & Africa: Ideal candidate will be based within the region, preferably Abu Dhabi or Dubai. This role requires frequent travel within the region of responsibility and to the US on a periodic basis. Must hold a valid passport and driver's license required to travel within the region of responsibility. |
RequirementsRequirementsQualifications: Required: Aviation Maintenance Engineering license with 10 years aviation experience. Proficient in speaking and writing in the English language Preferred: Experience in Repair and Overhaul of M250 engine 5 years experience with Rolls-Royce powered Rotorcraft Bachelor of Engineering |
