Job description / Role
We have a fantastic opportunity to join a leading and continuously growing Oil & Gas Operator who are seeking an experienced Legal counsel for the clients Service & Procurement Contracts. You will provide legal and contractual advice on E&P operational matters, by drafting, negotiating and reviewing Service Contracts and evaluating legal risks for complex international tendering processes for current operations, in accordance with the corporate guidelines, in order to assist fulfilling the E&P business plan and securing compliance with applicable laws and regulations. The position will be based in the beautiful city of Madrid and will report to the Chief Legal Counsel.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Drafting, reviewing and assisting in negotiation of Service Contracts and related agreements an and commitments as required for the E&P operations
- Analysing and evaluating legal aspects related to Tender processes and Service contracts administrations for E&P operations, detecting contingencies and assessing in consequence; recommending the legal aspects in operational matters
- Coordinating with local in house personnel with the legal and contractual aspects of current operations, as well as consulting with other units within the company, in particular legal and financial departments, to ensure compliance with procedures and legal norms
Requirements
Our client seeks a candidate who has a BSc Degree in Law with a minimum of 8 years experience in service contracts. You will have had exposure to the Oil & Gas or Energy industry. Our client seeks a fluent Spanish & English speaking candidate and this is mandatory to this requirement as well as having the right to work in the European Union.
