The RoleThe RoleThis role sits within the Lighting Controls division of Cooper Industries, which specializes in energy management, architectural and entertainment lighting controls. The division works across various markets including healthcare, automotive, commercial and mining. We are currently looking to recruit a Service Technician to support the sales force and customers in the UAE. This position is responsible for providing both office and site based technical support to existing and new clients in the Lighting Controls business based in the UAE. Training will be provided to enable the incumbent to work closely with Cooper Controls Sales Engineers and support the requirements of that Team, including preparing technical drawings in AUTOCAD format, carrying out system commissioning and taking instructions from the sales Engineers. The incumbent’s responsibilities will also include responding efficiently to customer requirements and passing complex issues to his line Manager. Some travel within the UAE and possibly within the region as well as recording all services provided in his weekly report. |
RequirementsRequirements• Minimum 1 year’s experience in system commissioning for controls / similar products • Knowledge and experience of AUTOCAD software • Good customer service skills • Must be a qualified driver and hold UAE driving license and car • Good communication skills, both written & verbal are essential • Well organized and able to manage multiple tasks effectively • Highly ethical and can work in a team • A Degree or Diploma in Electrical or Electronics, as well as competency in using Windows and Excel software is a necessity • Advanced PC skills • A demonstrable technical understanding of the Cooper Controls Product range • Able to manage a heavy workload, setting priorities with excellent time management and management skills |
