Services Manager – Technical (Fats & Oils)

Job description / Role

A leading food manufacturing company is looking for a technically experienced Services Manager to provide solutions for customers across the Arabia Region. The role will report into the Research & Development Manager and will provide technical insight and support for the fats & oils product portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

• Introduces product portfolio to customers in the region, explains technical advantages and presents applications in food industry
• Partners with Commercial teams to acquire new business from customers
• Provides technical support and guidance on installation, adaptation, configuration or enhancement of company products/process/ systems, supporting all R&D activities
• Utilizes deep knowledge and resolve technical problems, troubleshoot and modify product to suit customer requirements
• Interprets international market trends to identify new application and products needs
• Handles customer complaints, calls for proper recording and investigation by the department concerned and reports to customer the results of the investigations corrective actions and/or preventive actions
• Provides regular site visits to customers – working directly with customers in conjunction with external trends in order to proactively identify new ingredients/ formulation/ product opportunities, specific to their needs

Requirements

• Must hold a degree in Food science, or equivalent degree
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in technical service and/or new product development in food ingredients and/or food industry
• Experience in dairy and bakery applications
• Knowledgeable in fats & oils and cocoa
• Strong command of English and good interpersonal skills
• Arabic is a bonus
