Job description / Role
Objectives: This position leads the administrative function of the project, oversees the site accountants, ensures the financial information is accurately posted in SAP and assists the Project Manager in a wide range of activities
Work is performed by applying knowledge of accounting terminology, using spreadsheets and/or automated accounting systems.
Main Responsibilities:
- Oversees the performance of the site accountants, ensures tasks are completed timely and provides feedback and formation.
- Organizes the posting of invoices in the SAP, performs the costs adjustments following the Cost Controller advice and ensure the production is recorded on a monthly basis.
- Ensures the invoices are approved and posted on a timely manner. He cooperates in the preparation of any backcharges or invoice rejection to suppliers.
- In general, he is responsible for the accomplishment of monthly tasks within the schedule approved by the Head Office and warns on any expected delay
- Assists on the preparation of the monthly Project Payment Certificates.
- Provides guidelines for the negotiation of payments terms following the Finance Manager instructions or accordingly to Cash Flow requirements.
- Assists the Financial Manager in the preparation of Cash Flow by scheduling the due payments to suppliers.
- Monitors dates of expiry of Performance Bonds, Advance Payment Guarantees, Retention Bonds from suppliers.
- Opens LCs, monitors payments and expiry dates.
- Monitors the contracts with suppliers by paying attention at the work already invoiced and the work yet to be executed and invoiced.
Reporting to: Reports hierarchy to the Project Manager at the site and functionally to the Finance Manager and the Cost Controller at Head Office.

Requirements
University Qualifications: University Degree in Accounting, Economics or similar
Nature and length of previous experience: At least 5 years in the construction sector and preferably as a JV Administration Manager.
Specialist knowledge: SAP and / or other ERPs such as Oracle or Navision could substitute the knowledge in SAP.
The employee must be advanced user in Excel and other Microsoft programs.
Language Fluency: The candidate must be fluent in English.
Current Location: Anywhere but preferring candidates already located in Qatar or Gulf
