Site-based electrical design engineer, Doha, State of Qatar
6 Month Contract - Prestigious Consultancy
34 - 38PH + Flights, Car, Accommodation, Daily Living Allowance
A leading, award winning multi-disciplinary is seeking a contract senior electrical engineer to act as their technical representative on the construction sites of 2 prestigious projects. Both projects have been designed with top architects. These buildings are high profile developments within the Gulf region and upon completion are expected to attracted significant attention from the architectural community and media.
The individual chosen for this role will be required to address and resolve site coordination issues and to represent the consultancies technical interests on site, liaising with staff representing the client, contractor and architect. The chosen candidate will work on site alongside a senior mechanical engineer and with full support from the UK based design team.
Requirements
The chosen individual will be required to address and resolve site coordination issues and to represent the consultancies technical interests on site, liaising with staff representing the client, contractor and architect. The chosen candidate will work on site alongside a senior mechanical engineer and with full support from the UK based design team.
This is a Short-term expatriate assignment including provision of accommodation, car, flights and daily living allowance. Starting immediately, until mid 2015 with potential for extension by mutual agreement.
* Candidates should have a minimum of 7 years' post-graduate electrical design experience.
* The role requires an understanding of design details and the ability to propose and develop alternatives where necessary. Knowledge of NFPA design codes would be an advantage.
* Previous site experience in the Arabian Peninsula would be an advantage, alrhough this is not essential
* Candidates will ideally be chartered with IET or CIBSE.
This position will suit an Engineer looking to experience a new culture and ways of working.
