The RoleThe RolePOSITION OVERVIEW: Independently develops methods and solutions for engineering problems; Technical experience of construction techniques. Experience of Health and safety required. Responsible for the Contractor/ RE interface. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: Financial Performance - • To meet the project quality and technical specification and prevent abortive construction works Project Execution - • Ensure technical compliance in construction. • Target meeting or exceeding client expectation. • Performs complex engineering tasks and particularly important engineering work efficiently and accurately. • Extracts engineering information from CAD drawings. • Interfaces with contractors. • Completes other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate. Personnel Recruitment and Development of Staff - • Assist if requested in the training and development of junior personnel to strengthen our capability and make us more competitive in current and future markets. DESIRED RESULTS: • Efficiently manage project construction • Improve engineering construction efficiency • Contractors building quality products. • Increase internal/external client satisfaction. • Improve internal/external client communications. • Decrease client changes. |
RequirementsRequirements• Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or related subject. • 10 years postgraduate experience of infrastructure engineering with progressively increasing responsibility. Must include periods with large consultancy practice. • Previous experience on large sites essential • Extensive and knowledgeable computer skills (CAE/CAD and database programs) • Ability to implement Quality Management System on projects effectively • Working overseas or in the region essential. • Good spoken and written English is essential. |
