Our client, one of the fastest growing public safety and security solutions organisations globally, is looking to recruit a qualified and experienced Site Commissioning Supervisor to their UAE team. Looking to expand their ranks and with long term prospects providing stability and career development, our employer is seeking to welcome a professional and experienced Site Commissioning Supervisor for their multi-billion dollar infrastructure project.

As a key member of the IT Team, you will be responsible for daily monitoring of progress on site with regards to all sensors and end point equipment installation and connection including cameras, cabinets, pole tray and LPR installation per site. This role assists the subcontractor in technical questions and ensures the quality of work and the proper execution of work according to the project requirements and manages the subcontractors. Specific sites will be appointed as the site supervisor responsibility area. The Commissioning Supervisor ensures that the work is based on installation manuals, designs, project instructions and in close cooperation with the nominated Site Engineer of the project.

The Site Commissioning Supervisor provides strong support and leads all commissioning and integration activities to ensure a smooth handover to lab integration and supports fault identification and rectification till handover of sites has been achieved. This role also assists the Project Manager in close cooperation with Procurement Manager and Logistics to ensure that all deliveries are in place.

Reporting to the Commissioning Manager, this role is responsible for the following:

• Manage Subcontractors on day to day basis in close cooperation with the site engineer
• Ensure that all deliverables are in place to execute the work in cooperation with project manager, logistics and procurement
• Highlight and manage necessary design changes at site in cooperation with design engineer
• Define countermeasures in case of deviations to plan and report any impacts to the master work program including daily and weekly progress report as required by the customer
• Manage handover certificates for this discipline and sites
• Any deviation from plan in terms of program, quality of works or changes in design have to be highlighted to the project manager seeking a mitigation plan and advice
• The post holder is also responsible to handle the handover process with subcontractors and in close cooperation with the nominated site engineer to ensure a consistent traceable process as required by the project

Requirements

The attributes we seek for this pivotal role include:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical /Civil/Communication with commissioning supervision experience
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience in the installation of Infrastructure sector:
• Experience required in Optical equipment – cameras, Communication Infrastructure, Security Infrastructure, Computers Infrastructure.
• The ability to read and understand drawings and electrical and communication designs is essential.
• Experience in MS Word and MS Excel, Visio, preferred AutoCAD experience, monitoring techniques, safe working processes, quality process
• Experience in progress monitoring alongside a delivery program
• The ability to work independently under pressure and solve practical problems is required.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form; ability to work and to deal with different cultures
