Job description / Role
- Acting as the main technical adviser on a construction site for subcons, crafts people and operatives.
- Managing the site, checking plans, drawings & quantities for accuracy of calculations, ensuring that all materials used and work performed are as per specifications.
- Overseeing the selection & requisition of materials.
- Managing, monitoring & interpreting the contract design documents.
- Handling cable tray & trunking installation, cable pulling & termination and cable testing, panels & distribution boxes.
- Liaising with consultant, subcons and the general workforce involved in the project.
- Liaising with clients and their representatives, including attending regular meetings to keep them informed of progress, day to day site management.
- Planning the work and efficiently organizing the plant and site facilities in order to meet agreed deadlines.
- Overseeing quality control and health & safety matters on site.
- Preparing reports as required.
- Resolving any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise.
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering with minimum 8 years relevant experience.
- Experienced in electrical industrial installation is a must substation & switchgear installation is preferable.
- Demonstrated good problem solving skills and high level of analytical skills in order to perform analysis of project.
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
- Demonstrated well developed skills in MS Office - Auto Cad Drawings
- Demonstrated skills in prioritization & time management to ensure that the projects are timely compiled and workload is managed effectively within agreed time frames and deadlines.
