Atkins is positioned to play an important role, providing technical solutions to many of the challenges presented by this vital development programme. As part of our regional growth plans, we are currently looking for an experienced Site Electrical Engineer. The Site Electrical Engineer will: Report to the Resident Engineer and will be assisted by the electrical inspectors and land surveyors. Assist in checking the contractor’s submissions and shop drawings. Assist in responding to the contractor’s requests for information. Liaise with the inspectors, surveyors and materials inspectors with regard to the timely processing of the requests for inspection (RFI) to ensure there are no undue delays. Ensure that the contractor properly liaises with the Utility authorities and Street Lighting Department to ensure that there are no delays due to approvals, shutdowns etc. Assist the Planning Engineer to prepare the monthly status reports. RequirementsRequirementsRequirements The Electrical Engineer will be a qualified professional who must have a minimum qualification BSc in Electrical / Electronic Instrumentation and Control Engineering with a minimum of (15) years post graduate experience out of which (2) years in Saudi Arabia in the construction and supervision of electrical LV, MV, HV, EHV networks, including electrical substations. Familiarity with electrical design, construction of underground utilities such as the telecommunication networks etc. is also required. The Site Electrical Engineer will also be responsible for maintaining and enhancing Atkins reputation with our clients and developing effective long term client relationships thus identifying and developing new opportunities for the Group. |
