Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

We are currently recruiting for a Site Engineer to work on various marine projects across the U.A.E.

- Assist and ensure all surveying work as well as all other existing and future installations are sufficiently coordinated thus allowing efficient execution of the programme of works and advance identification of special conditions that will require enhanced construction planning.
- Supervise activities on site in a timely and cost effective manner and record / report any adverse trends or delays to the Project Manager to ensure that the overall project objective is achieved and enable early identification of any corrective actions deemed necessary.
- Monitor progress of work against construction programmes and submission of required site reports in accordance with Project Plan.
- Provide full support to the project manager with regular feedback of all information relating to project status with particular references to program, quality, variations, client issues
- Review and understand requirements of the specification and use all approved drawings and materials for the safe, efficient and compliant execution of the project ensuring that all contractual and specification requirements are fulfilled.
- Review drawings and take necessary action to ensure sufficient information is available.
- Prepare method statements in consultation with Project Engineer and the same should be approved by consultant and/or client for execution of work.
- Prepare records of allocation of resources, labour rate analysis and cost control in consultation with Project Manager to ensure adherence to project budgets.
- Carry out the specified inspections to ensure quality records are maintained and signed - off by the Project Manager

- Responsible for daily site quantity calculation in order to forecast the material requirement, labour requirement plant and equipment.

Requirements

- Minimum Diploma in the relevant discipline (Civil Engineering)
- Minimum 5 years experience in Civil Marine Works - site execution
- Candidate must have experience working in the Middle East.
