Job description / Role
Responsible for day-to-day site work
Acting as the main technical adviser on a construction site for subcontractors and the construction team
Ensures that all the works done are in accordance with the approved construction drawings, contract documents, project specifications, and all applicable standards whether local, national or international standards.
Supports the Asst. Project Manager in accomplishing all the goals and targets for the civil groups at site.
Ensuring that all materials used and work performed are as per specifications
Liaising with the consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors and the general workforce involved in the project;
Attending regular meetings to keep them informed of progress
Supervising and monitoring the site labour force and the work of any subcontractors
Planning the work and efficiently overseeing the project and site facilities in order to meet agreed deadlines
Overseeing quality control and health and safety matters on site
Preparing reports, daily, weekly & monthly progress as required
Resolving any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise.
Ensures that all site works are done according to all applicable quality standards.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
4+ years experience in similar position from construction industry
Excellent communication skills.
English written and speaking.
Excellent computer skills including, Primavera and AutoCAD
